This class is designed to develop students’ creativity and expressive skills in a supportive manner. Lessons will help young writers discover and develop their talents. The class is intended to be relaxed and approachable so as to encourage students, who will develop valuable thinking and writing skills for school and beyond.
教授的文體包括小說、記敍敍敘敍文、散文、說明文及實用文。導師會在課堂中與學生討論、分享,並提供專業指導以助他們完成作品。小學以記敍敘文為主,若學生能力較高,將會教授其他文體。
Text-types covered include fiction, recount, essays, expression, and formal articles. Time is devoted to drafting compositions, which instructors provide feedback on, and there is a chance for sharing and discussion. Primary school students will mainly write narratives. If the students’ abilities are high, they will learn different text-types.

Introduction:This course is designed to help students build confidence in the use of spoken English as well as to develop their fluency and accuracy of the language.

To nurture and enhance student’s creativity through dramatic writing, which incorporates the skills of reading and writing, as well as using some popular drama-based training techniques. Students’ confidence in speaking and writing will also be developed through group activities and creative workshops.
*Writing workshops ~ By using one of their own narratives, students will be asked to delve deeper into their work, critically analyze their work and think about what they have written from another perspective. Contents to be covered: What constitutes dramatic writing? Understanding the different aspects of what constitutes a good story, acquisition of effective brainstorming techniques, writing an engaging narrative to be adapted for the stage, adapting a written narrative for the stage
*Dramatic techniques~Students dramatize a script and use drama-based techniques to decipher if their narratives are suitable for the stage. These techniques include group-work incorporating mime, movement and dialogue to effectively communicate feelings, emotions and ideas, while enhancing creativity and confidence.

The International Baccalaureate is studied by over 1 million students 3-18 years of age across many countries. The aim is to give students a broader understanding of the interactions between different school subjects and create greater open-mindedness. For English Language, students examine a variety of literary and non-literary text-types. Our preparation programme familiarizes students with various IB-approved texts, exploring the themes, ideas, writing techniques and messages; assigns students to compose passages and essays exploring major literary-related topics; then provides students with guidance and constructive feedback on their essay compositions.

The General Certificate of Secondary Education is awarded to students aged 14–16 in the UK. The international version of the GCSE is the IGCSE. The programme is seen as being comparatively easier than the IB. In secondary schools, GCSEs are compulsory in the core subjects, one of which is English, and in addition many schools also require that students take English Literature. This course of study would be useful for students planning to study in the UK, either to complete their secondary education or pursue university. Our course follows the published syllabus and requirements for the programme, introducing students to a range of text types for the writing paper and giving feedback on their compositions; while reviewing vocabulary and strategies for comprehension for the reading paper.

This class emphasizes on characterizing, creating ambience and plot arrangements which leads to students creating their own masterpieces. Indeed, flash fiction writing is not like other writing. It does not possess any formulas. In this class, it provides a platform for students to appreciate best writing and discuss each others’ work. It acts as a bridge for students to learn from others’ masterpieces so as to improve their own output.

In the HKDSE, there will be at least one classical Chinese comprehension, but students can hardly manage it. Paper 4 of the HKDSE Chinese Examination scores 14% in total in group interaction. This curriculum aims at helping candidates to improve their fluency, precision and confidence. This class is conducted in small groups. It helps students pass the oral exam using their foundation knowledge based on a series of effective training exercises.

In preparation for the Biology examination, instructors will follow the corresponding examination syllabus to review with students: how to show understanding of facts, concepts and principles; apply this knowledge to explain phenomena and solve problems; know how scientists formulate working hypotheses, and plan and perform tests for them; present data in various forms, such as tables, graphs, charts, drawings and diagrams; analyse and interpret numerical and non-numerical data in various forms; make logical deductions and draw appropriate conclusions; evaluate evidence and detect errors; make suggestions, choices and judgments about issues affecting the individual, society and the environment. In the Chemistry exam, instructors will follow the corresponding examination syllabus to review with students. Students will be expected to: show understanding of chemical principles, terminology and how to perform experiments; analyse and interpret data from various sources, and draw relevant conclusions; manipulate and translate chemical data and perform calculations; apply chemical knowledge to explain observations and solve problems which may involve unfamiliar situations. In the course, key knowledge will be reviewed, and students will further be taught skills such as how to select and organise scientific information from given sources and communicate it in a logical manner, as well as to make decisions based on the examination of evidence and arguments. Economics helps students to understand the human world by enquiring into how resources are used to serve individuals and society. The subject is one of the six electives in the Humanities section of the HKDSE.
